SCOOP DU JOUR: VOGUE ITALIA OCTOBER BUZZ

It is that time again, when the denizens of TI play the game called "What's up at VI this month". The Hiss Squad (though they work overtime to get the month right) have a hot lead , signaling that three of the coolest girls of our recent moment were seen gallivanting on a recent Meisel VI set. Question is, will the cover be of a trio, a duo or highlighted by one solo beauty of the moment. TI's spies whisper that 2 of the girls in question had graced a previous cover, raising the hopes of that third belle. Let the guesses multiply!

SCOOP DU JOUR: PARIS INVADES NEW YORK

Is it a sign that NY is vulnerable? Or is it that still raging Euro? Whatever the case, the Hiss Squad has been assuring TI that several players of varying scale, size and leverage have been buzzing in and out of NY with plans to crash the NY modeling agency party. Most wanted editorial babe Anna S of Silent has NOT been placed with a NY agency...which means casting directors seeking her services will have to speak to Silent directly..Shhhhhhhhhhh...and Elite Paris Gerald Marie is been rumored as being involved in a really, really big plot RE:NYC. The re-set continues....In the meantime...Kevin Apana, formerly of IMG's Men's division and Public Image answering his phone this week at his new Wilhelmina desk. Headed there now to sip some hiss.

PS Marliyn's Eniko is set to be a big big moment. New York didn't get her last season, but a lot of the people-who-matter now have. Stay tuned!

SCOOP DU JOUR: THE MEN'S MARKET SHIFTS TOO

Another week, another shift with a coveted slew of top male models set to jump ship with their long-time booker to new shores. All TI will say is a powerhouse just became even more powerhouse.

SCOOP DU JOUR:AUGUST VOGUE ITALIA HISS

The fashion kids have just about sussed out the next VI cover (which is highly unlikely to be Linda btw) but can they imagine how chiiiiiiiiic the images are said to be? Think a reference to a recent fashion world event and the most haute of the haute models looking suitably emotional...In other VI news the waves from the"Black Issue" continues to resonate with girls both recent and legendary booking a "Mohagany" story for a certain blue chip publication. Then there's this talk of another cover for Naomi in September. That too might very well be a multiple girl/single covers each must-buy extravaganza. Phew. The mags are fighting for their place in the cultural spotlight no?

SCOOP DU JOUR: A MODEL DRIVEN SEPTEMBER PARIS VOGUE

TI loves a good source and this Hiss Squadder is transmitting from the inner sanctum. TI won't be the one to blow Vogue Paris' genius September cover but we're happy to kick off the speculation. Here are the key hints...a model (as opposed to a celeb)...one season new...already gaining ad campaign momentum....I could say her hair color as swell as her nationality and agency representation but there would be no hiss appeal in that, right?

SCOOP DU JOUR: EMMA SUMMERTON GOES STATES SIDE

The Hiss Squad slipped this into TI's tea a few weeks back but now it is looking very confirmed...Emma Summerton the fastest rising new photographer on the scene coming to a major league American magazine very very soon... ID and British Vogue covers will accelerate your market value very quickly these days! Now watch out for Emma to start eating those campaigns...starting SS 09.

SCOOP DU JOUR: IT'S A SWITCH FRENZY

Hiss Hiss...By September shows in NY, a good half dozen of all those CK Jeans/ Hugo Boss/ Armani blue chip faces will have switched agencies. Its like we said at MDC..there seems to be a huge reset going on in the industry these days...And it looks like that July Vogue extravaganza is starting to have an ad impact already. A Very Important Hisser told me today certain clients have instructed our spy to be more "inclusive" in their future ad castings. Very 90's multi-cultural no?

Scoop du Jour: NEW CK 1 CAMPAIGN IN PRODUCTION and GIVENCHY GOES MULTI

CK1 was launched with a memorable campaign by Steven Meisel in the 90's that featured a catchall of some of the coolest kids of that age, from Stella and Kate to Richard Elms, Lois Samuels and Donovan Leitch. It'll be intruiging to see how Meisel and Brokaw follow up up the legacy of the fragrance...In other news...add the upcoming Givenchy men's show as the latest in fashion multi-cultural casting block.
