Phillip Glass' scoring: so easy to listen to...so intricately beautiful as sheet music

I'm literally listening to it right this minute I think the way Glass modernizes all those old tropes of "classical" and "opera" his hypnotic use of coiling sections of minimalist repetition is incredible. For me he is the greatest , the most accessible and the most prolific of all modern composers easily worthy of a slot besides 20th century pioneers like Debussy, Stravinsky and Stockhausen.
