Teorema: Pasolini: Japanese poster
I used to cult worship Pier Paolo Pasolini mainly because his sexually outrageous movies were packaged with such commendable social politics. Now that I've grown up I love them all the more for an even more superfical reason: the very Italian haute bourgeoise stylishness they boast. Currently in heavy rotation at home is "Teorema" made in 1968. It has a dream star, 60's icon Terence Stamp. A dream plot: a polymorphous Stamp descends on a nice middle class family and proceeds to seduce each and every member from mother to father to son to daughter to maid. I love the maid. Especially when she starts to hover above the church steeple towards the end. Too chic! The Japanese poster of "Teorema" is especially brilliant and Silvana Magano's angular beauty is all the more mesmerizing for it.
