Modern Matter describes itself as a "forum for truly bespoke art content that collaborates with artists in real and varied ways eschewing static photoshoots and Q&A interviews" and within that mission statement is a whole world of inspiration. Visually, the magazine aims to treat the presentation of the arts as an art-form in and of itself, through an experimental approach to design and non-linear values in the field of editorial content.

A monkey masked as a Japanese child, lilies stolen from Monet’s garden and a stone sculpture that’s warm to the touch are but a few of the unexpected elements at Pierre Huyghe sensational new London show at Hauser & Wirth. Building on the garden he created in a huge park in Kassel at the last Documenta, with its live, wandering dogs and an entire manipulated ecosystem, Huyghe's current expansion of his oeuvre positions him as one of the current masters of cultural spectacle. Scale it seems is the new battleground for art stardom. Yes we said that dirty word. Press release post-jump.

Idris, pulling Ogier towards him, kisses him. Suddenly, Ogier frees himself and, rope and knot broken, he rises up as in levitation until a crepuscular darkness completely invades the oratory.
The light returns. Projected in the sun-lit outside, the structure of a high pyramid whose sides a crowd of men, young and old, each wearing a white dress, are climbing, some in a hurry, worrying about being overtaken by others, all eyes fixed on the pyramidal summit. There, young Ogier sits, in his luminous nudity, hands outstretched towards the first to arrive.
At the same time we see, coming down on the left angle of the pyramid, men of all ages, each flanked by a young naked boy looking like the immortal adolescent, nestled under the dress of the adult he accompanies.
