I love that the Exhibition magazine team (Edwin Sbarro, Gael Hugo, Boris Ovini) took the "Leather" theme of its current issue and turned it into an exploration of sexuality.

I love magazines but print...something about it has been starting to feel so ...antique. Beautiful , yes but beautiful like paintings in a museum . It wasn't that the format was the problem. I still love the smell, the feel , the presence of paper....the tactile joy thereof of turning page after page. But what has become difficult for me was that formulaic ...impersonal... content where more and more editors were bent on only discussing the advertisers in their pages and a short list of very established and therefore redundant talent in music, film and design. And then I got the new Qvest in the mail

The Hiss Squad slipped this into TI's tea a few weeks back but now it is looking very confirmed...Emma Summerton the fastest rising new photographer on the scene coming to a major league American magazine very very soon... ID and British Vogue covers will accelerate your market value very quickly these days! Now watch out for Emma to start eating those campaigns...starting SS 09.

Emma Summerton. Get into that name. In an editorial landscape suffering from a lack of new energy and new forces Ms Summerton is racking up the magazine credits at fast and furious pace. Tastemaker Kate (Moss) is into it. ID magazine is into it. British Vogue, via this image that I just uploaded onto MDC is very into it. Katja, KT and now Emma. I think the name-droppers of the trade are going to have to add some new buzz-names to their call-list!
