SCOOP DU JOUR: VI DECEMBER 2008

After lobbing the event issue of this year (Vogue Italia July 2008) and stirring up quite a storm with that "Dogging" edit now docked at V Magazine the hype machine has certainly been ruled by Meisel news.

"A seduction through language, a masque without masks, Caracole brings back to startling life a dormant strain in serious American writing: the idea of the romantic."--Cynthia Ozick

I was going to title this "Narcissus Unbound" or "Narcissus Wept" but I thought maybe it was too early in the day to get all Edmund White. This story makes me want to go out and tint all my flourescent bulbs. Love what Steven and Dennis did with coloration!

BERLIN NIGHTS

Conrad/DNA PH. Michael SchwartzConrad/DNA PH. Michael Schwartz

CURRENT VIEWING: Pulse Park: Rafael Lozano-Hemmer: MADISON SQUARE PARK (NYC)

Pulse Park by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer at Madison Square ParkPulse Park by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer at Madison Square Park

THE MDC office is right adjacent to Madison Square Park, which is my favorite of all the NY parks. NY parks in the Fall take on an additional layer of romance, what with the falling leaves and the impending chill of winter in the air. Madison Square Park gets to be especially brilliant around this time of year. The insane lines for the Shake Shack start to dwindle and all of a sudden you start to notice to Mad Sq is also a pretty impeccable art park.
