9月29日より「エスパス ルイ・ヴィトン東京」にてブラジル出身現代美術家エルネスト・ネトの新作展「Madness is part of Life（狂気は生の一部）」が開催されている。
第5回目となる本展「Madness is part of Life」では、エルネスト・ネト自身がキュレーターを勤め、4点の新作を通じ高い天井とガラス張りの壁面を併せ持つこの空間を再構成･再解釈。全長50mの巨大インスタレーションをメインに、”見て”、”座り”、”触り”、”歩き”、”嗅ぎ”、”考えること”を促すと同時に人間性をテーマとした新作4点を展示。詳しくはコチラ！

As the Curator of Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo’s 5th exhibition, ‘Madness is part of Life’, Ernesto Neto reconfigures and reinterprets the gallery’s high-ceiling and glazed wall space through four newly-created pieces. The title refers to common situations in our lives today, political correctness and productive time. The valorization of the human is about productivity over humanist qualities, the closer to machines, the better it is.
Madness has been a part of society, something that must be controlled, hidden by medication as if it were the right thing to do, but right for whom? The world is full of passion; it is a little madness that lives inside and around us…. We need it!
