Catherine McNeil: Numero 90: PH: Greg Kadel
Catherine McNeil has haters aplenty, naysayers who "neigh" about her career trajectory. They keep insisting its about to end any day now even as Catherine keeps clocking more campaigns, even as V, Numero , Vogue Paris and US Vogue keep clicking that camera for her. Well I love the way Catherine keeps it moving and keeps making bank ...just doing her thing without blinking. She popped into NY for a day on Friday before dashing off to Paris for the Coutures. Yes the coutures where Miss Catherine slithered down the runway in her saucer hat for Dior yesterday. TI interviewed her for MDC that Friday morning before her flight to CDG. The sun came in at a strange angle onto the white-washed walls of Faith Kate's office at Next and just lit up Catherine's face until it burned pure beauty. I like Catherine because she is still so much the motorcycle chick in person, yet so intensely glamorous in her photographs as in these snaps by Greg Kadel for the new Numero. They remind me of shoots I've seen with Kate and Carmen (for D Squared) and I think that's very good company. Click on the image and choose "original" to get Catherine in full effect ... In other fashion hiss...I was at Next when a certain manager hinted that a great new girl was winging her way over to him. Turns out the girl was Karli Kloss, a switch I never saw coming until the wee hours of Monday morning . The booking wars never end... Speaking of switches, Camilla Nickerson is revving up for her styling tour of duty at Calvin Klein FW 08. It doesn't mean that Karl Templer is not doing the campaign but it'll be interesting to see how minimal or not minimal Madame Nickerson will make things.

I'm Cat-neutral
And I do find the criticism a bit silly at this point. Whatever the future holds, she has already made it further than certain other instant-but-now-fading stars who followed the "right" career path...
KarliEEE leaving Elite? Yikes! Is all I have to say about that.
I know...even after seeing
I know...even after seeing that glorious cover, people won't stop hating. I mean, I understand people are sensitive to overhyper...esp when Testino didn't leave her with the best pics in history, but that's been six months ago no since that ended and the work she's doing now is phenomenal. I love Cat!
