Margiela silver sequined tights, $2,500.00. SOLD OUT!
Not that I have anywhere to wear them to but out of perversity I went over to the Martin Margiela store this morning to inquire about these silver sequined tights for SS 09. With NYC tax they come up to just about $2,500.00. And they're sold out. I left the store stuttering . Seems silver tights are recession proof. That is when they come from deeply directional designers.

If they did sell out they probably only had 1 or 2 to begin with. They're savvy. It's good PR to tell people they're sold out. Much better than saying nobody is buying them because they're $2,500 silver sequin leggings for men. Not the most practical way to drop $2,500. Unless you're Kanye.
