Setting the stage for a major Naomi moment at In Fashion Photo 2008
An entire Miami underpass in the Design District has been commandeered for tonight's In Fashion Photo opening featuring a retrospective body of Naomi Campbell imagery. Bold faced guests from film producers to real estate magnates to fellow iconic model Iman and Mr David Bowie are flying in the show and the dinner afterwards and the press is already in a frenzy (TI tip: get there veeeery early). The show's curator Jean Luc Bunel took TI and French television correspondent Marie Ange Horlaville to the site (still in frantic construction) for a sneak peek . All we have to say is the whole thing is already looking massive. I'll try to get over my camera shyness and snap the proceedings as best I can tonight. After checking out the location our crew headed over for lunch on Lincoln which despite the tough times still buzzes with the beautiful Brazilian girls and boys (looking like Ralph Lauren Polo ads waiting to happen), the posh South Americans with double ply cashmere sweaters slung-just-so and the surprise appearance of Mr Calvin Klein. Worlds within worlds within worlds indeed.

Marie Ange Horlaville is the only journalist who has been successful producing TV shows based on Fashion and Luxury Lifestyle in French. Her one hour show is viewed by 25 M people. The five biggest TV networks have tried few times and failed to produce this type of broadcast. She must be good somewhere.

Kidding Ray. Actually I found Marie Ange Horlaville to be very charming. At lunch she said (in french to our lunch companion) that I was more handsome than Obama and I said she was more chic than Catherine Deneueve. With all that mutual...uhmmm... air kissing I can't say I saw a diva side. Then again it was Miami, no?
