CURRENT LISTENING: THE FUTURE & THE HUMAN LEAGUE:BLACK MELODY MUSIC LIMITED

Now "Don't You Want Me Baby" makes ultimate senseNow "Don't You Want Me Baby" makes ultimate sense

This is the song for all you bigheads(?) out there who think disco music is lower than the irrelevant musical gibberish you try to impress your parents with. We're the Human League . We're much more clever than you and this is called "Dance Like A Star"

Phil Oakley speaking his mind on Track 1 of the recently escavated cache of vintage The Future/Human League demoes

Did you know Sheffield England was a massive musical nexus in the 80's outputting groups like Cabaret Voltaire, ABC and The Human League. I didn't know that. Nor did I know that before The Human League went pop they were very experimental/avant-garde/cut-up . Black Melody Music limited resurrected a whole cache of their early demoes, back when they were known as "The Future". (Such modesty). Speaking of immodesty TI loves the piss-take of the opening track "Dance Like A Star" where Mr Oakley intones the words that lead in to the post. Well he did have a superior hair-cut!

Taste is a dictatorship.
