The Welfare Show" by artists Elmgreen & Dragset

In 2005 the Bergen Kunsthall in Norway staged "The Welfare Show" by artists Elmgreen & Dragset . That show traveled in 2006 to the Serpentine Gallery in London and to this day the buzz still resonates froma show that was both witty (in an almost silly way) as wella s astute in its criticism of the "European Welfare State". The question is will the nuances these artists explored in this exhibit translate to America? TI is praying that some brave curator is in the process of addressing that challenge even as we speak.
