Elite's leading light catwalking to Eddie Trump's US Open box

Yup. Here it comes. That bi-annual convergence in NYC that separates the men from the boys. New York Fashion Week looms again and the treadmill is already up to full tilt with all those obligations, from the overflowing streams of information to process, to the punishing social schedule. It is enough to have you spinning...It all started on Monday when at the kind invitation of Mr Neal Hamil , (El Presidente of Elite North America), TI joined that fashion calvacade that cara-vanned its way out to Queens to romp in Elite's owner Eddie Trump's private box on opening night at the US Open. I used to slum around Flushing Meadow as a teenager so it was really funny to tramp through that vista once more, this time in the company of the models.

As WWD and style.com has properly documented there were tons of boldfaced types romping away...from Council of Fashion Designers of America executive director Steven Kolb to the humblest celeb we know, Lydia Hearst to Sari Gueron, Vena Cava’s Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock as well as Rag & Bone’s David Neville and Marcus Wainwright. Derek Blasberg was there locking down presidential daughter (First daughter?)...Barbara Bush. She sat all night with the most erect of posture. It was very admirable. I don't know why that stayed with me but such are the vagaries of your mind when you're hunting for "details" to paint a vivid picture with. I noticed, for instance that Mr Trump was rocking Versace jeans. There were some very charming GQ and Vogue kids littered about but ..ah my limitations...Models-r-us and that was the clique TI stayed true to. It was nice tracking leading Elite lights like Emma Beam and Alice Burdeu but I have to say that beautiful Chinese fencer of theirs , Miss Xiaoyi (which I prounounce as Zowie as in Bowie ) was the moment . Talk about presence! We have her "Walk" video docked at MDC for Monday and if fencing can give you those shoulders then goodbye tennis, hallo epie'! That's if fencing comes with a VIP box !
