Mathhew Brannon @Friedrich Petzel. MUST SEE

Friedrich Petzel has been marshalling a choice selection of artists (see Wade Guyton) into art stardom recently, which makes this space a top destination for an art crawl. The current show by Matthew Brannon has all the ingredients needed for a must-see...the post Whitney buzz, the adoring press, but most of all, supple, clear work that resonates that "damn-I-Wish-I-had-thought-of-that" quality. Mixing sculptures with letter press prints the textual play of this work is an art director's heaven .Every single one of those in the industry should run to this show. Shoes and food...I mean, its Vogue heaven no? If you'll pardon TI's superficiality.
