I finally broke down and bought it, (PA) this weekend at The Strand and I have to say I am relieved to have a random sampling of all those back issues of Purple I failed to buy back when the thing was spawned in the 90's. The 90's...as a moment, a reference... a touchstone. Who would have thought? So many ideas and ideals from that era of grunge/waifs/deconstruction are being venerated and worshipped in our current moment, I find it dazzling. I mean Chloe Sevigny's journey from Liquid Sky sales girl to anti-Hollywood actress has been the best , no?

i didn't like her character in big love but seeing she loves fashion and fearless, i like her and thats a beautiful picture, gonna pick up the copy.
