TI would like to set the record straight regarding a story we ran a week ago about Tsunemitsu Chiba, a purported in house web designer for Hedi Slimane. It turns out Mr Chiba's claim is a complete fabrication. Mr Slimane's press office released the following statement on Friday :
HEDI SLIMANE DESIGNS HIS WEBSITES AND DIARY ON HIS OWN, WITH HIS COMPUTER ENGINEER IN PARIS AT HEDI SLIMANE'S OFFICE.
HE ALSO TOTALLY DESIGNED, WITH HIS TECH IN NY, THE DIOR HOMME WEBSITE FROM
2000 TO 2007.
ANYTHING ELSE IS PURE CONTERFEIT.

Tsunemitsu Chiba - Disgraceful
As an Art Director in the fashion/beauty business it is an absolute disgrace what he is doing. He hasn't even bothered using Hedi's design sense as inspiration but instead directly ripped it off (going as far as using the same site with different content). If you want to make yourself credible do something that can be called as such. What he is trying to pawn off as his own is simply ignorant. He should be embarrassed, unfortunately this is all too common. It crosses the line of where flattery ends and insult begins?
